Day 1 Arrival- Cochin to Munnar

Upon arrival at Cochin Airport / Ernakulam railway station you will be picked up by our drive and you will be driven to Munnar (04 Hrs drive). On the way enjoy waterfalls and natural beauty of Nandan Kannan Hills. On arrival at Munnar check into Hotel, rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 2 Munnar Sightseeing

After breakfast proceed for sightseeing of Munnar, visit to Mattupetty Dam, Kundale Lake and Echo point. Afternoon proceed to Rajamalai which is part of Eravikulam national Parkm where one can spot the endangered of mountain goat of sourthen jungles the, “Neelgiri Thars”.. Overnight stay is arranged at Munnar.
Note – For Rajamalai Visit advance booking at Eravikulam national Park administration advisable. Park is closed during Feb – Mid April due to breeding season of the Neelgiri Thars.

Day 3 Munnar to Thekkady

After breakfast bid farewell to Munnar and proceed to Thekkady (3-4 Hrs drive). Thekkady is Gateway to Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. Upon arrival check in to hotel and day at leisure. Optional Sightseeing available – Periyar lake boating which can be a great opportunity to site wild animals from the boat. Evening you can enjoy activities like Kathakali, Elephant ride, Elephant bath, Kalari Payattu (Martial art of Kerala) Performance, Tribal Dance, Musical fountain, Ayurveda massages etc.

Note – Advance booking recommended for Periyar Wildlife Reserve boat ride.

Day 4 Thekkady to Alleppy/Kumarakom

Post brekfast proceed from Thekkady to Alleppy /Kumarakom (4-4.30hrs drive). Upon arrival check in at Hotel. Later local sightseeing visiting back water jetty and beaches nearby. One can take a Canoe/Moterboat or Houseboat Ride as per choice to enjoy village life around the backwaters of Vembanadu lake. Coyer Centre, House boat factory(if operational) etc can be visited by guest to get glimpse of the traditional occupations of the locals. Overnight at Hotel.

Houseboat Stay – Guest can opt for a Houseboat stay instead of Hotel which a unique Luxurious way of experiencing life on backwaters of Kerala. Houseboat itinerary as follows

1. Depart from Thekkady early to reach on time for check in between 12noon-1pm as per houseboat policy. Check out at next morning 9am.
2. After check in Houseboat begins sailing and stops for Lunch for an hour.
3. Post lunch it continues sailing on the Vembanadu Lakes and Canals till 5.30pm
4. After 5.30pm boat is anchored for overnight halt.
5. Evening tea and Light snack and later Dinner are served on board all meals with delicacies of traditional Kerala Cuisine are prepared by your personal chef onboard and served fresh.
6. Morning Houseboat cruises for 1 hour and Breakfast is served on board before check out at 9 am.

Day 5 Alleppy/Kumarakom – Cochin

After breakfast check out from hotel /Houseboat and proceed to Cochin. Upon arrival check in at hotel. Later as per availability of time and schedule of monuments we will cover cochin sightseeing. You can visit Fort cochin, Navy museum, St Francis church, Chinese fishing net, Santa clause basilica, Mattanchery palace, Jewish synagogue, Marian drive, Tripunitura hill palace and Lulu mall.

Notes-

1. Hill palace – 9AM to 5PM – Monday closed.
2. Dutch palace – Monday closed.
3. Synagogue – open from 10am to 12noon and 3 to 5PM. Closed on Friday and Saturday and Jewish holidays.

Day 6 Cochin – Drop -Tour Ends

After breakfast check out of the hotel and bid farewell to God’s own country. You will be transferred to the Cochin Airport/ Ernakulam Railway Station.
